Our new Original Bookgame, is available NOW on Amazon!
In this bookgame, you are the 1st Marine division tasked with holding Guadalcanal against the Japanese. Your Marines are tough but isolated as the Japanese build up around you. Your biggest asset is Henderson Field, a small airstrip that gives you control of the sea lanes during the day; at night, the Japanese sneak in boats with men and supplies and sometimes bombard the field directly. You must weigh the various threats against you and defend the island until relief comes.
Guadalcanal: Solitaire has four different difficulty sections, each with six game plays, totaling 24 game plays. Your Japanese opponent becomes progressively more formidable in the following four difficult sections.
A Day at the Beach: Join your fellow Marines as you patrol the tropical paradise and defend Henderson Field from relentless attacks from the Japanese.
Storms Coming: Weather has worsened and affected your Air Support; dig in and prepare for a protracted ground battle.
Surrounded: Don’t take your eyes off the tree line. The Japanese are coming in fast and hard from the flanks and are performing furious Banzai attacks.
Fight for your Lives: Dig in and hold your line as the Japanese flood their reinforcements and send infiltrators through the jungle in every direction.
All you need to provide is a die, a pen, and a sense of adventure to play.
Your mission will not be easy. Good luck.

The solitaire board game included in your pledged box game uses a board game version of the Guadalcanal Solitaire for its game system. There are differences between the games, but most are related to how a board game is played with wooden blocks versus the bookgame format and where the art differs to accommodate writing in a book.
